WAS TIME LAUGHING?

So I also make music!! And I guess around 2 years ago I went to Brazil and made this EP with a band that got named Big Zipper. We're still putting out songs slowly but anyways I made the video for Time Was Laughing and because it was a video for my own band I also decided to experiment with some sound effects version, partly cause my friend Melinda who runs the RIDGEWOOD OFF-KILTER FILM FESTIVAL asked me to submit something WEIRD. So there are TWO versions; "Time Was Laughing" (the song version) and "Was Time Laughing?" (sound effects version).
Big Zipper also has this other REAL LIFE fun music video that was more popular on certain social media sites because real faces of people get more clicks! I've realized you could spend 6 months animating a great video and still do "better" filming a face on ur phone camera for 6 seconds. I don't really care about doing "better" on the internet BUT I would love to get paid more for stuff I do. Part of remaining a productive artist is remaining stupid and delusional while also being aware of how nothing will probably work out in the end. Most smart people would never try and make a living off of art for long and many un-smart people get frustrated that their average art isn't getting likes or liked or whatever. I do be believing that it's that un-smartness that helped them get something finished in the first place. So in this second right now, I'd say the goal is to first be un-smart and tell yourself THIS is the ONE (keeps u motivated while u work) and when you put ur work out u gotta de-un-smart and be mentally prepared for no one caring. This way there are no surprises and you don't have a miserable life where you associate making art with being sad and you make way more stuff! Anyways I'm going off track, here's the vid, I'll put out my book The Deunsmarting Artist soon!!
